Flagships and techs are raining at MWC 2016. One after the other, new phones are coming away, and we’re covering them all! Gionee too joined the race with the launch of the new S8. Now Gionee’s flagships have always been a matter of a bit of confusion for many, but this one totally stands out of the crowd. So, let’s just have a look at what the S8 offers.
So at the first glance you’ll see a 5.5-inch of full AMOLED display with 3D Touch and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by a Octa-Core MediTek Helio P10 MT6755 processor clocked at 1.95 GHz with Mali T860MP2 GPU.
The device apart from that huge screen has got 4GB of RAM with 64GB of Internal Storage that can be expanded up to 128GB through the MicroSD Card. The device runs on Android v6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo UI 3.2 with it’s connectivity settings including 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
The device has got a home button on the bottom with volume and adjustable buttons on the right side. The Gionee S8 comes with a 16MP Camera with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, 6P lens, Laser AF and LED flash along with an 8MP front facing camera. It sports a 3000 mAh battery which promises decent standby.
The device is launched at a price of $494, or roughly Rs 33K and well, is totally worth it.
