With the ICC World T20 and this year’s IPL coming closer day by day and Vivo gaining the sponsorship for IPL, Oppo is sponsoring this year’s ICC WT20. Oppo, which, last month, launched the budget camera phone, the Oppo F1, they now have come up with the special edition of ICC World T20 Oppo F1, a flagship which comes with much updated features as compared to the F1.

So here’s what the Oppo F1 comes with!

The Oppo F1 ICC WT20 special edition powers a 5 inches of full HD IPS display, with 1280 x 720 pixels of resolutions, protected by the corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It’s storage capacity comes with 3GB of RAM with 16GB Internal storage, expandable up to 128GB.

The special edition Oppo F1 has got a 64-bit Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor with Adreno 405 GPU. Running on the Android 5.1 Lollipop Operaing System with Color OS 2.1, it’s connectivity settings include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.1.

It’s camera quality is, well as good as that of the original F1. A 13MP snapper on the back side with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture and capability of recording 1080p video recording and a 8MP Front-facing camera. The device measures 143.5 x 71 x 7.25mm in dimensions and weighs 134grams in weight and comes with a 2500mAh battery life with mediocre standby.

Sky Li, OPPO Global VP, MD of International Mobile Business and President of OPPO India, said, “We are happy to launch a customized edition of OPPO F1 for the ICC WT20 2016. It gives us immense pleasure to be associated with ICC and cheer for Team India. We wish Team India success in this tournament.”

The device is priced at Rs 17,990 and will come with some other exciting goodies including a ICC WT20 key chain, a selfie stick and a back cover with the ICC WT20 Logo. Well, according to me, it’s nothing but craziness! Though this strategy of promoting their new phone, is obviously good, but no one in the world will pay almost Rs 18,000 or $300 for such an offering, right?
