Yesterday, things went crazy when the news of the cheapest smartphone came into being. Ringing Bell, who created the world cheapest 4G Handset, priced at Rs 2,999 has also come up with the cheapest smartphone ever, that’s the Ringing Bell Freedom 251.
But let’s see if the things are up to the mark here.
Ringing Bell Freedom 251 Specifications
- 4-inch Display with 540 x 960 pixels of resolution packed in it.
- Quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz.
- Android 5.1 Lollipop
- 1,450 mAh battery
- 3.2 MP Camera with 0.3 MP Front-facing Camera
- 1GB RAM with 8GB ROM and Internal Storage that can be expanded up to 32GB.
- 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS
The device has got a 4-inch display with 540 x 960p resolutions. Running at the Android 5.1 Lollipop, the device is clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-Core SoC. The device powers a poor 3.2MP rear camera with Auto Focus and a 0.3MP Front-facing camera, but you really can’t expect more for just Rs 250, mere $3.6!
The device comes with some pre-installed apps like Women safety, Swachh Bharat, Fisherman, Farmer, Medical, Google Play, Whatsapp, Facebook, Youtube etc. The registrations for the device will begin tomorrow, 18th February at 6:00 am and will end on 21st February at 8PM. The device is said to be delivered by 30th June 2016, so, you gotta wait a lot!
The device is priced at Rs 251, as per the official website and several newspapers, but will certainly increase with the time.
