About a week ago, Samsung announced a special edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge. Called the Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition, the special edition phone is meant to celebrate the third anniversary of the release of the Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile game.
Apart from a custom back panel, you also get a custom color scheme, a Blacked VR headset with a Batman theme plastic case. But, there is nothing special about the new S7 Edge Injustice Edition in terms of hardware features or capabilities.
It’s the same damn S7 Edge which we’ve been seeing for the past few months. You have the same 5.5-inch, curved Super AMOLED display, 12-megapixel camera, and water-resistant features. The same can be said for the Gear VR headset that comes in the kit: in terms of capabilities, it’s the same Gear VR that’s been available for purchase since last fall.
But the Injustice Edition has a blacked-out color scheme with gold highlights and a Batman batarang symbol on the back where the carrier logo usually is. It’s dope, really dope, and quite attractive too. And even Gear VR looks crazy, actually way better than the white-and-black standard model.
The unique custom batman theme has a unique lock screen, icons, always-on display with the batarang logo, custom dialer, and tweaked settings screen. In case you just don’t like the new custom theme, you can anytime switch back to the default Galaxy lock screen and icons.
BUT, a big but here, that Samsung would be selling this limited edition S7 Edge to a certain limited markets and probably NOT in India. There’s also likely to be a limited number available, so if you want one, better start looking on how to import it now.
